I have been reading a lot of articles lately on the topic of outsourcing your content creation. Your content strategy is incredibly important if you're a digital business owner, and I am currently working with several companies offering their services to create content. Having previously done it all myself, the process of buying high-quality content seems very expensive. So I was wondering if it would make sense to outsource my content production to a single freelancer instead of paying the high prices to a content marketing agency every month.
For me, the main reason to outsource is that you can get someone else to do work which you don't want or cannot afford to do yourself. If you're not good at writing then there will always be people willing and able to produce better quality content than you could ever hope to achieve by doing so alone.

And, that was why I started working with a company that produces a lot of content for a lot of people.
The major benefit here is that you know this company lives or dies on the content it produces. If it gets things wrong, you're more likely to hear those bad reviews... So, it makes it very expensive in terms of reputation for that company to underperform.
The same is not always true of a freelancer, especially on a platform like Fiverr. It's so easy to set yourself up that a bad profile could just be scrapped.
So, it's a risk moving to freelancers. If you've tried this before, you'll know how a great many freelancers are, but also how many you have to go through to get to those diamonds.
Nevertheless, the ability to not have to write your own content is a major benefit.
The best way to find freelance writers is through online forums such as FreelanceWritingList.com. They list thousands of active members looking for new projects. Just post a brief description of your project along with your budget range. Writers will contact you directly via email.
One of the problems with that is understanding the market in the first place. There are hundreds of websites listing jobs available worldwide. Some sites charge fees, while others offer free listings. But, even when you pay, some still won’t accept anything below $10 per 500 words. That’s actually a pretty low rate if you're trying to make it as a writer, so expect to pay more for the best scribes.
It doesn't help either that many of the top writers use multiple platforms to promote themselves. For example, they may run blogs, sell eBooks, host webinars, contribute guest posts, etc.… All of these activities require different skillsets and payment rates.
That said, there are plenty of other ways to find freelance writers. One of the easiest is simply asking around. Word of mouth is often enough to land you a writer. Another option is to look into local community groups. Many communities hold events where businesses advertise short term needs. These ads usually include information about the type of content needed. Asking around within your network is yet another option. Finally, there are lots of job boards dedicated to specific niches. Most of these allow you to search based on keywords and location.
If none of these options suits you, consider hiring a professional copywriter. A good copywriter should provide you with everything you need: written content, SEO optimized pages, social media profiles, videos, podcasts, infographics, blog posts, press releases, landing page templates, etc.
One caveat to that is, they may not be cheap. Understanding just how much your time is worth to your business and how much your business can stall through constant content creation without any marketable business activity is important here.
Usually, when you think about content outsourcing, you're really only talking about blog posts or graphics, but there really isn't any reason you should be limited to this.
I have seen at least one YouTube channel whose entire content, from script to production, has been outsourced. They are a popular channel that the owner is earning more in ad revenue than he is paying for each video.
But, yet more content can be outsourced for your business.
If you think about it, a social media manager who comes up with your social posts and creates any graphical content for them is just a glorified content creator. If you want someone else to do all the work for you, why not outsource their services?

So, once again, ask yourself, "what makes my product unique?" Then figure out which parts of your marketing funnel need to be automated by people who don't know your brand. Once you've got those figured out, start looking for experts who can take care of those tasks for you.
But, if you don't know what kind of content you want to do, ask yourself why you would hire someone else to do it instead of doing it yourself. The answer might surprise you!
